Learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the Silver Fox Academy is a unique experience found nowhere else in the country. The Silver Fox BJJ Academy has become known for a highly technical, efficient style of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu that is not only a highly effective form of self defense, but also a lot of fun. In our BJJ classes you will learn how to manage striking distance, take an opponent to the ground, then control and submit that opponent.

Our Fundamental curriculum focuses on leverage, technique, positioning, defense, and essential BJJ submissions. The perfect program for beginners of all ages, we offer Fundamental BJJ classes multiple times every day and we recommend that all students attend at least one Fundamental class per week.


This Program is for students who have made sufficient progress in the Fundamental Program, and was created with focus on technique, efficient transitions and submissions. It includes access to all classes.


  • Starts with a brief functional warm-up
  • Followed by instruction on 1-2 stand-up/take-down techniques, with students drilling each move multiple times
  • The instructor then demonstrates 2-3 techniques on the ground (positioning, transitions, submissions), again students drill each technique with a partner several times to put the moves into their muscle memory
  • Class usually ends with “live training” to reinforce the techniques taught. (Advanced Program only)


The introductory class is a free, 30-40 minute, one-on-one session by appointment outlining the basics of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu theory, positions and submissions. This class serves as a preparatory class to those interested in enrolling at the academy.

We aim to have a safe Jiu-Jitsu environment for all students, with constant monitoring by instructors. Anyone seen to be exhibiting unsafe behavior will be corrected or removed if the behavior persists.
