Tips on how to get and remain consistent.
We frequently remind students that the best way to improve in training is CONSISTENCY. One of the simplest ways to sustain consistency is to train regularly in the same classes/times weekly. After a few weeks this will create a routine, making it far more likely to get into the rhythm of a consistent training regimen. If you have an opportunity for additional training, absolutely do so, but make sure you still attend your regular classes, so you don’t deviate from your established routine.
Another important tip is to not take on too much too soon. Countless new students come into the academy and want to train all day, everyday, only to burn themselves out. Remember Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a marathon not a sprint. Consistent training over time is the key to progress and longevity, which can lead to your long term goal of becoming a Black Belt.
See you on the mats!
